I haven’t owned this car long, but that didn’t stop me from promptly tearing the front end off of it! You see, I had to. This car was in dire need of a nose job, and the great thing about having an ugly nose is that we have the means to fix it! In addition to fixing the very sad schnoz were a variety of other tasks that when listed on paper read more like an exhaustive medical checkup than a simple wrenching to do list. It’s what’s required when you see a new patient in your office for the first time- you need to get aquainted by checking them out from top to (ahem) bottom. Check out the full story here!

uh oh…i knew it was merely a matter of time before Tom got into a GNT.
Nice updates so far! Youve probably already thought of this, but after working in a driveline shop several years back, i learned its a good idea to yank the rear axles and ‘swab’ out the shaft housing before refilling the diff…you would be amazed at how much extra fluid sits in those things.
lookin forward to your future plans with this thing!
Thanks Kyle! That’s a good tip and I was going to do that until I got a look at the gears. I’ll definitely clean it out good when I take care of my (somewhat) whiny rear end in the future.
